Home — Pirol API

Pirol API.

AI models from the EU with Pirol Online, or on your own hardware with Pirol Local.

One line of config.

your_app.py
from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(
    base_url="https://endpoint.pirol.ai/v1",  # ← only change
    api_key="ep_live_…",
)

response = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="pirol/pirol-ai", # Pirol AI, no provider key needed
    # bring your own key to reach OpenAI or Anthropic models here
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": prompt}],
)

Bring your own key — OpenAI, Anthropic and others through the same gateway.

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

Drop-in compatible

Change one URL in your existing OpenAI SDK setup. No new client library, no schema changes.

EU-hosted

Traffic stays on European infrastructure. No transatlantic data transfer for the raw payload.

Full audit log

Every request is logged with its model and token counts — queryable from the console.

Per-workspace keys

Issue scoped API keys per team or product. Revoke instantly without rotating provider credentials.

Picks the model

One model id, the right model underneath. Pirol AI routes each request to the open-weight model that handles it best.

FAQ

Customers using our managed database infrastructure will store their data on German data centers.
No — not by us and not by the infrastructure we run on. Your prompts are not stored and not trained on. The exception is your own OpenAI or Anthropic key: those requests run under that provider's terms, not ours.
Azure EU runs Microsoft-controlled infrastructure with US parent-company exposure. pirol is a German company under German law — no US parent sits behind it.
Pirol AI runs open-weight models and picks the one that fits your job; the five best known are also available directly, by name. If you bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, their models run through the same gateway — that is your key and your contract, not Pirol AI.
Google, Microsoft Entra ID, and GitHub are supported today. Email and password always works alongside SSO.
Kyte is a desktop app — it runs on your machine. Kyte talks to AI only through the Pirol API — as Pirol Local on your own hardware, or Pirol Online from the EU.
